Southwood at Norwell Nursing Center is certified by both Medicare and Medicaid and we accept private funds and private insurances including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Tufts, Harvard Pilgrim, and Managed Medicare Insurance. Further we are Gold Seal accredited from The Joint Commission of Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). The Joint Commission is voluntary for Skilled Nursing Facilities and evaluates the quality and safety of care delivered at more than 15,000 healthcare organizations. Attaining accreditation requires an intensive on site review by a Joint Commission Surveyor once every three years. Southwood at Norwell Nursing Center offers a secure Alzheimer’s and Dementia unit in an environment ideal to provide care to Residents with memory impairment. We provide a staff that is specially trained by the Norwell Visiting Nurses Association to meet the specific needs of these Residents. We offer an activity calendar that is specific to the needs of this Resident population.

Southwood at Norwell Nursing Center accepts admissions 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We care for short term post-acute patients, long term care Residents, and Alzheimer’s Residents.
